Data-discriminant web harvesting
Radius can capture anything on the web, academic or personal, saving and organizing it both as structured data for access in Ibidem and as free-form text searchable by Orbis.
Radius is a newly developed application within the Nota Bene suite, designed to transform how you capture and work with information from the web. It introduces a completely new capability, expanding what Nota Bene can do beyond writing, citation, and retrieval.
While many tools handle pieces of academic work—writing, bibliographies, or search—Nota Bene stands out by integrating everything into one system. Radius pushes that standard further, offering a new, more powerful way to gather and use online information in a structured and meaningful way.
Radius joins Nota Bene as a fully integrated module, working seamlessly alongside tools like Ibidem and Orbis. Like the rest of the suite, it is built to support serious research workflows, enhancing—not replacing—the specialized capabilities users already rely on.
Radius redefines web clipping by capturing exactly what you need and transforming it into structured, usable data—instantly. As you collect content, it’s automatically organized, indexed, and made searchable, seamlessly integrating with Ibidem and Orbis. Whether you’re gathering scholarly sources or everyday information, Radius ensures everything you save is connected, accessible, and built for real research.
Capture specific information instead of saving messy full pages.
Extract useful fields and send them into Ibidem automatically.
Everything you save remains searchable in your Nota Bene workflow.
Preserve citations, articles, references, and notes in practical formats.
Radius bridges academic research and everyday life, giving you one powerful tool to capture, organize, and use information for both scholarly work and personal interests.

Radius testers over the last few years tell us that there’s really nothing quite like it. Programs like Evernote and OneNote offer some of the same web-capture options, but only Radius offers sophisticated academic and research-enhancing data parsing of captured content while enabling capture of anything else of personal interest. Radius is more flexible, more powerful, uniquely adept at organizing the ordinary while remaining committed to academic needs. And it costs less. What’s not to like?
– Built for serious research

Radius is built into the Nota Bene Workstation for Version 15, meaning there is no extra cost. Unlike other add-ons, it is a fully integrated, standalone program—not just an extension—and, unlike many web-clipping tools, it supports academic research without requiring a subscription or renewal.
