For those who are interested in customizing and programming, Nota Bene provides many opportunities. The keyboard can be customized to suit your needs, and you can write your own programs using Nota Bene’s native programming language, XPL. These functions are largely undocumented in NB Help, and Nota Bene technical support cannot provide assistance with programming. However, help is available thanks to the work of dedicated Nota Bene users. In 1994, Tony Woozley wrote a Customization and Programming Guide for the DOS version of Nota Bene. Mary Bernard has extensively revised and updated this guide for Nota Bene for Windows, version 8.0. Many thanks to Tony Woozley and Mary Bernard for making their work available to all who are interested.
